“He was in battle with this gentlemen… come here… who play Tom Hudner…” “Oh hey whatsup.” the way Jonathan Majors just casually grabbed Glen Powell by the back of his jacket and pulled him over to join his interview just screams tight besties hahaha… love how close they’ve become through this movie. <3 and honestly Glen just willingly let himself be dragged around like a puppy with no protests whatsoever shows that he’s probably used to it xD
Let’s get one thing absolutely clear
Mal Oretsev:
- Spent his entire childhood being bullied in an orphanage by children older than him, and only had one friend
- Started to have romantic feelings towards said friend, and felt incredibly guilty about them, then tried to deal with them by putting distance between them
- Then had his one real friend taken away from him, and realised how much he loved her
- Protected her, even when he thought she’d lied to him their whole lives. Even when she wasn’t honest with him. Even when she seemed like she didn’t care
- Overcame the stereotypes of otkasats'ya being weak by learning how to fight Grisha
- Constantly risked his life to save Alina, from others and from herself (Siege and Storm final battle)
- Was willing to let her murder him so that she could have all 3 amplifiers
I’m sick of everyone calling him boring and a bad match for Alina. Just because you don’t think he’s hot doesn’t mean he’s not a good character. His character is complex, and he is reduced to nothing by the fandom.
Give my boy the love he deserves
i love defending jacob so much. like the book and the show are both chefs kiss. the one thing i love about it is that we never know whether jacob killed ben or not, and that it’s kind of left up to us to decide, and that makes the rewatch or reread so much more interesting, given that Jaeden (and his mom) are the only two people who truly know whether or not he’s innocent.
like, when i restart the show, i decide then and there whether Jacob is innocent or guilty changes the entire experience, and honesty it changes my view on Laurie and Andy.
for example, if i’m watching it with the idea in my head that he did kill ben, it makes me see that despite knowing what her son did, Laurie still protected him and loved him, whereas Andy was so determined to just keep his family together that he was willing to risk letting a murderer walk free.
but, if i watch it with the idea in my head that jacob is innocent, it makes me realize just how good of a defence attorney Andy truly is, and how dedicated to his profession. it also makes me see Laurie as someone who’s only worried about her image, especially by episode 7.
